由于外部的环境温度过低，放冷却水应在停机15分钟之后水温有所下降时进行，而不可立即进行，否则就会因为机身与外部环境的温差过大，致使柴油发电机组的一些部件产生变形，进而影响柴油机的使用性能（如缸盖变形等问题）。

      提醒广大用户放水时不能将放水开关打开后便万事大吉，还应注意观察水流的具体状况，看水流是否顺畅，是否有水流变小或时快时慢的现象。若出现这些情况，说明冷却水中含有杂质，阻碍水的正常流出，此时最好将放水开关拆下，让冷却水直接从机体内流出。如果水流仍然不顺畅，这时就应用铁丝等较硬且细长的钢性物品进行疏通，直到水流畅通为止。
